Tonderai Masara
Mr Tonderai Masara is a licensed counselling psychologist with nine years of progressive experience in mental health care, currently registered and practising in the United Arab Emirates. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Psychology from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe, and a Master of Science in Counselling Psychology from Great Zimbabwe University. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Psychology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa — reflecting a career defined by continuous intellectual growth and scholarly rigour.
Across his clinical career, Mr Masara has applied integrative, evidence-based, and culturally responsive approaches to support individuals navigating a broad range of psychological challenges. His practice is grounded in a firm commitment to ethical excellence and client-centred care — values that extend well beyond the consulting room into the wider community.
A dedicated mental health advocate, Mr Masara founded the Mental Balance Series Magazine (www.mentalbalanceseries.com), a platform designed to bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and public understanding, foster de-stigmatisation, and empower communities with the tools they need to nurture their mental wellness. Today, he brings this same spirit of education, innovation, and advocacy to the intersection of mental health and artificial intelligence — a frontier with profound implications for how psychological care is delivered, accessed, and experienced globally.
